The Global Institute for Novel Nicotine (GINN) is honored to welcome Dr. Nveed Chaudhary as Chair of our Science and Standards Committee—a role central to guiding our mission for credible science, responsible innovation, and global public health advancement.
Dr. Chaudhary brings more than 20 years of leadership at the intersection of science, regulation, and public health. He began his career in the pharmaceutical industry, where he co-developed the first FDA-approved treatment for pulmonary fibrosis, for which he holds multiple patents. His deep scientific expertise is reflected in over 25 peer-reviewed publications and frequent presentations at leading international forums.
Throughout his career, Dr. Chaudhary has worked directly with some of the world’s most influential tobacco and nicotine companies—including BAT, PMI, and Imperial Brands—helping to shape the scientific substantiation and regulatory strategy behind reduced-risk products. He now leads NexCentra Consulting, where he advises both multinationals and independent manufacturers on navigating complex regulatory environments and building evidence-based innovation across nicotine, consumer health, and emerging wellness sectors.
A global citizen, Dr. Chaudhary has lived and worked in Germany, Italy, Singapore, the UK, Switzerland, and the UAE, bringing a broad and inclusive perspective to GINN’s work. His approach is rooted in scientific rigor, but guided by purpose.
He is also the founder of the Jibraan Chaudhary Sepsis Research Foundation, established in memory of his son, with the goal of advancing research into leukemia-associated sepsis—a reflection of his personal commitment to improving public health outcomes.
As Chair of the Science and Standards Committee, Dr. Chaudhary will help shape the development of risk-proportionate standards for oral nicotine products, ensure GINN’s work is anchored in independent science, and support our engagement with regulators, industry, and public health stakeholders around the world.
